2:50 PM – Departed from Columbus on a flight to Washington, DC. Before the flight, I enjoyed a meal with my family at Northstar Café at Easton. After checking in my bag and receiving my boarding passes, I proceeded to my gate and boarded the flight. My carry-on was tagged and returned to me post-flight. I deplaned at IAD and made my way to the next gate for my connecting flight.
4:55 PM – Boarded the flight to Vienna, a 9-hour journey. During the layover in DC, I finished my burger from Northstar and boarded the flight. I slept shortly after takeoff, and when I woke, dinner was served—pasta, a roll, salad, and a fruit cup. I had drinks including Coke, ginger ale, and tea. After more sleep, I tried to watch “Avatar” and “Wonka,” but found both boring and stopped midway. Breakfast before landing consisted of a bagel and tea. After deplaning, I rushed to my next gate in the vast Vienna airport and met Anya, my roommate, before boarding. My carry-on was tagged again, and I retrieved it upon arrival. Although there was a 40-minute delay, and I had 1 hour layovers for each stop, I still somehow managed to make the connection to Larnaka, Cyprus.
